You must be utterly devastated. Its never easy to loose a pet, but it is especially difficult when they are so young and it is unexpected. I have known of young people (in their early 30's) going to bed and never waking up, so not surprised to hear it happen to a dog. My only advice is try and get a post mortem and don't rush into getting another pet. You have to let the wound heal. I still hurts when I think about my 1.5 year old cat that I lost over a year ago, but now I can smile when I think about her now. Sometimes I find looking at pictures and videos makes me cry but it does help as it reminds you that they haven't really gone.
I hope you get some answers. My thoughts are with you.

I've just lost my lab puppy, Otis. He died very suddenly. He was 8 months ol, the vet said it was anaphylactic shock after a bee sting. He let out a howl and died within minutes. I feel for you, my heart has broken and I don't know how to move on. Keep strong, my thoughts are with you.
You must be absolutely devastated and I am truly sorry for you. It is never easy to lose a pet and one so young is terribly sad. I'll be thinking of you
