FAO All those coming to the Chicksgrove Training Day.......
As those of you who have attended the Chicksgrove training day in previous years will already know, the actual gundog-training malarky is merely a way of passing the time before the real highlight of the day which is...................BEC'S 5-SECOND-GRAB MEGA-RAFFLE!!!!
After 6 hours of pleading for your wayward dog to please-come-out-of-the-pond-so-I-can-join-my-class, listening to Di's weak jokes about the rubber-water-retrieving-dummy ("Where do I put the batteries?!") and the humiliation of watching group 4's dogs doing double-blinds-with-a-distraction-whilst-playing-a-banjo whilst your Fluffy does his 57th lap of the pond, you are going to NEED some light-relief!
So please could all those attending the day, bring 2 prizes for the raffle - one a human prize and one a dog prize? The naffer the better ~(although booze is always acceptable........very acceptable......very, very acceptable....... and chocolate........ as is anything knitted that goes over the spare loo-roll in the bathroom!)
In addition to the FUN FUN FUN of the raffle, there will also be 2 scurries being run (one with a natty-twist!) so please bring some spare pound coins and your running shoes!
Thanks John! - I'm in the process of some (very good!) major life-style changes at the moment but things should calm down after the next month or so, so hope to be a more frequent visitor to LF then.
Bumping this up to try and catch the eye of any Chicksgrove-attendees!
I second John Becs, good to see you with us again , I won`t be at chicksgrove, CJ would be in the doing laps of the pond category , I hope the weather stays fine for everyone and you all have a great day
