Hi my 11 month old lab lives outside in a kennel and run system...however due to the nature of the majority of dogs in our area it is on lead walks for morning and afternoon but no off lead time till around 10 pm ish as its just not safe.
This is leading to boredom....he has a playmate from 8amish till 5pmish and lots of human playtime and free run on the garden but after 5.30 ish when leo goes home (choccie lab) taylor gets bored hewing up the wooden round the kennel entrance etc so looking for strong, maybe interactive and safe toys any ideas.
Mine are happy to be left with nylabones when I'm at work (in all shapes/sizes/flavours). Not all dogs like them though. Melvin is a serial chewer of toys, so these and kongs really are the only things he can have
Boomer balls are great, if he's like my 2 and footballs last around 10 secs until teeth go through them. They are indestructable and i have to take ours away or they would push it around to exhaustion.
Thanks are there any particular kong toys melvin likes taylor is a serious chewer he has a red kong that you stuff and its the only thing that has lasted so far. lol
We have a boomer ball too, the dogs love it (in an odd obsessive kind of way) but I wouldn't leave them unsupervised with it. They actually cannot stop themselves... Eddie in particular gets very vocal and I'm pretty sure he'd play with it until he dropped dead from exhaustion if I wasn't there to interrupt him
id be so interested what others come up with, today of we went to buy new toys what we thought felt tough, already one has a hole in it. his new nylon bone he has shoved to side. and his kong he takes it and looks at me like and you want me to get that stuff out. hes not keen. he loves any type of plastic bottles, and lasts him ages but a foot ball not a chance.
boomer ball what size would you recommend for casper hes 31 weeks old

lol debbie im glad you will find this helpful. I will look into boomer balls for taylor and leo on the garden and will look at the extreme kong and other suggestions made
Mine love soft toys but these Kong Wubbas are only ones I can leave them with unsupervised. No idea why but they are the only softish toys they have not shredded:
