Hi Hayley
I go to Lowdham occassionally but have never taken the dog
you might want to check with http://www.rambler.mistral.co.uk/ which is the ramblers association for the area and most of their walks are dog friendly.
You could also do the River Trent Pub walk -http://www.nottspubs.co.uk/walks/gunthorpewalk.html but I don't know whether the pubs allow dogs.
Are you staying in Lowdham itself can't remember when you are coming across to the UK but the village show is on the bank holiday Monday 29th August.
ETA just re read the title so you won't need to worry about Bank holiday.
Hope this is of some help.

I've been to a lovely pub in Gunthorpe before I had Luna - I'll ask Mum about Lowdham area tomorrow. We should be up for a meet around there!
And bump!

Hi Hayley, I can't think of anywhere at Lowdham, but the river Trent and many walks are all around.
Laura has already mentioned Gunthorpe, (there is a pub there) you can walk along the Trent through to Hoveringham.
Sometimes there are cows in the fields around there though, i remember about 8 years ago they chased me, Paddy and Oscar off, I have been there with Toby recently and i didn't see cows, but Toby found plenty of pats.
I might be able to come with Toby, it's 50/50 at the mo.
Take Care.
Gary and Toby.
