We so nearly bought a mondeo estate this summer but couldn't find one with low enough miles for the right price. We were just having a wander round a forecourt and spotted a Citroen C4 grand picasso which had loads of room, loads of gadgets and low miles. It wasn't a car that we'd even thought about when we were looking - but I love it!
Have to add though, when we were negotiating the price I ummed and ahhed so long that the guy said 'what else can we do to get you to say yes' so I said I'd like a dog guard fitted and a boot liner - which we got!

Enjoy you're new car - they do seem lovely cars Laughing

It's metalic grey, I know that sounds like silver, but it's a bit darker than 'normal' silver! Can't find any second hand guards though Sad can't really be without for long either, a tailgate guard is the single most useful thing I ever bought!

ETA - yes Lynda, nothing to stop me now Wink

Congratulations to all who have new cars!

I still have my Scenic, I actually thought it was going to make it's first ever year without a problem, but lo and behold a week before Christmas the trip computer and clock keep resetting. So far I've ignored it but I have a feeling it will be an expensive fix Confused

I've come to a decision too; I'm going for the VW Sharan/Seat Alhambra/Ford Galaxy. I can fit all four children in it, plus there is oodles of space for the dogs, plus all rear seats pop out and you can use it as a massive van or even sleep in the back! I could probably fit five or six labs in the back of the Scenic but Rosie and Frank are on top of each other on long journeys and we get squabbles.

My FIL has an Alhambra which is as old as my Scenic but it's only done 5,000 miles and the chap he bought it from is a lifelong friend... so I've told him "Dont sell it without talking to me first!" The neighbours also have an Alhambra; so it's a question of who sells first Very Happy

One of the regular dog-walkers up at our common has one; she fits in the back of their Honda CRV.

Having said that, she has the whole boot to herself Very Happy Embarassed

Perhaps you could get a trailer for the WolfHound, Helen? Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
