Is anyone going to the tournament at Larden Green Farm, Chorley, Nantwich, Cheshire on 16/17th July?
I will be there with the boys (well, all the dogs but just the boys competing)... but they will be in starters rather than division, despite the fact they have both been in division before. Jed has decided that he does not "do" height any more and if we have no height dog he just ambles back around the jumps, and Bo - well, he is Bo! Streak of lightning when he wants to be but also the class clown who decides to lie down on the way back with the ball.
We are with Merlin's Magicians - but not sure which team we will be racing under (Sorcerers, Apprentices, Spellmakers etc).

Not going to it as we're not in that area but it does sound like fun - hope you'll post some pics of 'Merlin's Magicians' - love the names! We're going to try some flyball at the new classes we're going to but knowing my luck Sam'll run off with the balls and refuse to come back to me!

Coco loves flyball but like Sam she isn't keen to give the ball up.
We're not really ready for competitions yet (but having said that, 9 times out of 10 Coco performs better than some of the real team members).
I'm not sure whether I should go down the competition route with her or not, I have a feeling it could work out expensive. I understand that I would have to register her as a BFA competition dog, would I need to have her measured too? Then there are entry fees (presumably all team members share the £30ish team entry fee?) and travel costs which I can't really afford this year.

The measuring is done at the start of competitions - not every dog, just the ones who may be under the standard height (desperately trying to think whether it is 16 or 17 inches??) - to run in division you need to be registered with BFA (year runs Jan-Dec) and we normally split the entry costs.

Coco is 19" so she is on the top height then anyway. We can maybe think about registering her for next year, she might have learnt to give up the ball by then
