Can anyone help with the buying of green lipped mussel tablets?? I've seen a lot of people swear by them and I do prefer more natural remedies
so if I could get hold of good websites or shops to buy larger bottles
and how many to give per day? do you start with a larger amount as with other joint formulas??

Has lots of info and also an online shop. Let me know if they work, like you, I prefer the natural remedies where they can help.
Thankfully, not needing them at the moment for Pen.....
Good luck with them tho' hope they do the job.
have only just seen this thread and zipvit is probably the best price from what I have seen so far.
I was advised to give two tablets daily (to the dog!!) for three weeks as a starting dose to reduce down to a maintenance dose of one daily.
It DOES depend on the nautre of the problem as to how you dose and as to whether you need to consider a maintenance dose to aim for. Or if you are giving the tablet for anti-inflammatory effect for a one off episode of pain. (as in lameness that should hopefully disappear after a couple of days).
Vets have reccommended this remedy so you should be able to get more advice on this from your vet. I have used the remedy for years. - dogs love the flavour of them and as a bonus - the cats take them readily too! (though I havent had a huge reason to give them to the cats)
Max was on it for a very long time I used to have a test run of letting him go without tablets to see if they were still working and if he still needed them and he was definitely alot worse when he was off the tablets.
(Max also had omega 3, msm and the usual remedies for joint problems)
Good luck with the problem - is it a longterm problem?
