There is a distinct exodus of people and dogs from around the ring watching as the middle of the day approaches Mary. People are ever so careful of their dogs and ensure they are well watered, cooled with water or coats or swims and definitely in the shade with whatever breeze available flapping their ears. I think the problem is so many people travel from far and wide for shows that if they started delaying them by shutting up for the hot part of the day there would be lots of complaints. People are sensible and I saw no dogs suffering unduly due to the heat, people tend to skip their dogs runs if they aren't happy. Arrive at a show early morning and stay until late evening and you find lots of cooler woofers out enjoying themselves with friends!

My Mum lamented that we hadn't won a placed rosette this weekend - we got left and right turns, laughed and smiled, played and talked dog all weekend!!! Who needs a rosette!?!
