What are the recommended feeding quantities? I can't find it online.

Thanks

Vicki

Feeding guide from adult lamb and rice bag:

5kg dog - 5-125g
10 - 100-200
15 - 125-250
20 - 150-300
30 - 225-400
40+ - 300-500+

Edited to add:
No idea what quantity I feed mine, haven't ever weighed it.

I have the PaH food storage bin with built in scoop. Boots used to get a full scoop, slightly heaped, of skinners twice a day. He now gets about 3/4 scoop of barking heads twice a day.

That's great, thanks. Do you tend to find you need to feed yours at the lower or higher end of that range? Just trying to get an idea of how much it would cost me to feed it.

It must be a VERY generous feeding guide. Either that, or I'm seriously underfeeding my pooches!! Embarassed

Boots is only getting 200g per day and he doesn't look emaciated, honest! Wink

glad you started this Vicki as I'd noted Mo's comments with interest. I used to feed naturediet & burns pre-Hux, but moved to naturalinstinct (raw) and skinners post-Hux as he came on the skinners puppy food.

Like Mo I find there is a load of poo with skinners but I'm not brave enough to go all raw yet. Am contemplating a dry food switch but unsure what to try! Might give burns working food a go though may try barking heads if it is well liked - why did you choose it Mo, just out of interest!

I really really liked Skinners. Was perfectly happy with the condition of my dogs on it, the price, and the poos were ok - quite a lot of it, and not super firm, but still pick-up-able. Too much info, but I preferred the poos on maintenance than I did to duck and rice - but duck and rice was better for the dogs' condition.

Anyway - with 3 dogs, the poo situ just started to get me down a bit and firmer, smaller, and less of them poos started to become priority Laughing

Fee gifted me a bag of BH once upon a time and I quite liked it, but did still carry on with skinners as I wasn't really minded to change foods at that stage. The trainer I go to feeds it to his young dogs (but uses a different brand for the older ones). So I suppose having tried one bag and liked it, and having someone who works his dogs also using it and liking it, I decided to give it a whirl. Very happy with the results so far. It's not as easy to get as other brands though, that's the only thing.
