After being on a GT to Wales -fab by the way, I was thinking of how lucky I am that I live in a village with a nature walk, a dog friendly pub and some of the best beaches around. We also have a very dog friendly caravan/camping site, just at the end of our village.
I have telephoned the owner, who I know, to check if they mind loads of dogs turning up at one time.. they don't and the camp is surrounded by walks and fields..
They are open most of the year but are closing November to March as the weather was so cold last year. I can put people up in Lady's starvation paddock, but we have no electric or showers..
Do any of you fancy a GT in Yorkshire??
I own a paddock that we could organise training, fun stuff, a barbi and as I said, the pub allows dogs in the bar and serves really nice meals...
The walks around are endless. The beaches are only 5 minutes away and are the best in Yorkshire, in my opinion.. Filey beach is something else..
Only a thought as I would imagine, most of you are more down south..
When were you thinking? Im liking the swimming pool suggestion.
This might seam like a odd question and i think i already know the answer but are the dogs allowed in the pool? Ive always wanted to have a swim with the boys
I think Melvin would drown me if I tried to swim with him... he can barely contain his excitement when I sit next to him on the sofa (which I do all the time anyway) so I dread to think what he'd do if I joined him at one of his favourite hobbies!
I'm excited at the prospect of a holiday! Any thoughts on when you'd like to do it?
We're planning on a day trip to Filey Brigg with the dogs so if you're planning a trip there we'll probably join you.
I don't 'do' camping though
Will keep an eye on this thread
