Thanks guys, I am going to have a browse through the suggestions and links and see what works. I actually have a nobbly wobbly ball which is fab for Cadbury at agility, but is just impossible for Merlin to grip in his mouth - I wish they did a miniature version that would be perfect.

Fee, the small kong idea is a good one, though Merlin was rather unimpressed with his tiny kong and wouldn't bother with it. He does like balls.

Pam, talking of tough tuggy toys. The last one I bought Cadbury was from the local Pound Stretcher. I doubt it was more than £5 but it is superb. It has outlasted the £20 one he was bought and it has been tugged, chewed and tossed. Plus it has a hard plastic handle making it perfect for a human to hold and not end up with rope burns on their palms.

Lots of good toys there and some good ideas for making my own. I need to see what cheap bits and pieces I can buy to customise.

Yep - think I may be tempted as my guys haven't had new training toys for such a long time!
