I hope someone can help. Merlin has a ridiculously small mouth (despite the fact he makes a lot of noise out of it!!!!) He can't pick up a normal tennis ball at all, the only ball he can carry in his mouth is the smallest Kong balls you can buy that are designed for small breed puppies.

I really want to get a ball on a rope for him to use for training. He is starting agility in October and I want a toy for him, but I'm frightened about taking the tiny Kong ball as a bigger dog might pick it up and choke themselves.

Does anyone know where you can get a tiny ball on a rope for small dogs?

I'm having trouble getting any ball on a rope for Coco, they are either really cheap tennis balls on thick ropes that rip apart as soon as the dog gets hold of them or mega expensive rubber ones. I'm mean and refuse to pay £5-£7 for a ball that will probably be lost the first time out.

Kong do a teething toy that is a small rubber sausage shape on a rope.

Pets at Home do a load of black and yellow toys and some of those were on ropes starting about £3 or £4.

Good Boy have some rubber balls on ropes and are nice and cheap but I haven't managed to find any on sale near me yet. The supermarkets seems to have all the other Good Boy toys but not balls on ropes.

I'll be watching this thread with interest.

what about one of the Kong fetch sticks. The ones that look like elongated tennis balls. They come on ropes and I'm sure my local pet place do really small ones

I was going to say the same. I bought a tiny kong stick for Pood when she was a pup.

Not that Poodles have small mouths. Twoee can fit a large kong tennis ball in her not-so-lady-like mush already Shocked Laughing Laughing

My experience of the tennis ball ones that Daisyyy suggested is that the balls are poor quality and get ripped off the rope in no time.

I like the orbee balls but I'd be gutted if I spent so much and lost it.

Not sure if these are any good. I don't know how big the nobbly bobbly is but it may be easy to hold on to a bit. The sausage one lasted Rufus ages as a pup from about 8 weeks to 8 months?

Sophie - maybe try shops via agilitynet or stalls at shows - I usually find these guys understand what we need so stock things which standard pet shops might not hold.

You could maybe add a rope to a small kong? Would that work?
