A customer of mine who is being a teeny bit hard to please has asked me to look at collars for her on the net (she doesnt have access to the net).

She would like a collar that is predominantly soft fabric (not nylon) with a strip of leather running through the middle.

She has always bought soft fabric collars and the one she has bought for her dog has a metal buckle with prong. She would now like to be a convert to having a plastic buckle that springs into the clip so she doesnt have to worry about getting the correct hole on the collar when putting on the dog. (so the size is already predetermined).

(she doesnt leave the collar on during the day it is only really for if she takes the dog to the vet, as I walk her dog for her and I use my collar when im walking her).

She has told me that in the past they have bought their special collars from game fairs....

I have searched and searched on the net - was wondering any of you collar fanatics on LF would have a clue where else to look?!

Thanks
Heidi

I can't think of any with fabric and leather I'm afraid. I personally like collars with clips and have got ezydog and indigo collar tags ones which are soft but sturdy, not sure if you could convince her to look at those?

We sell these at work. I know you haven't said what breed the dog is but a lot of gundog breed owners tend to buy the green one. They also come in pink which a lot of smaller breed owners tend to go for.

Not got the clip that the owner wants but maybe if she is willing to compromise.
And not that expensive.

Saw this one in PAH, it says 'padded adjustable collar helps to give your dog extra comfort'
'Reflective trim for improved visibility;
Built-in ID tag;
Heavy duty snap fastener for added security.'

Not really right but she might like it Smile

Not leather but plastic clip and fabric that are attractive and tough:

Luna got hers for her 2nd birthday and has just turned 3. They wash well in the machine. Very pleased.
