We have just returned from the NW camping GT, and dispite mother natures best attempts at drowning us all and then blow drying us, we did have an absolutely fantastic time, lots of laughing and giggling, the dogs enjoyed the beach so much and best of all made some lovely new friends, so A
Thanks everyone for the great company and camp entertainment.
It took us 5 hours to get home, got stuck in a lot of traffic. The boys slept most of the way home. They are happily snoring away now in their beds. I was very impressed with Harry, i was his first camping trip and he was great!
Liz already asked about if were thinking of going again next year.
She also asked if we could rate her camp site on uk campsite and vote for her campsite to get into the top 100 uk camp sites, she was 102 last year The link is on the left side of the website.
The site was superb katie, i have just voted for them, the only thing i can think of to improve it is to have electric points in the shower rooms so you can plug your hairdryer in, and maybe the size of the dog exercise area could be bigger, its still a great place to stay though
Thank you to all you lovely folk who made it a fab weekend. I had a wonderful time, and the most special moment was when I walked into Many Tears Rescue. It reduced me to tears to see where my special girls started their lives of freedom. I had never been before as I had collected them from foster care in Somerset. I had a couple of minutes alone with Sylvia too. She said she thinks about them every day when she looks at their photos in the calendar I send her each year. There are lots of lovely labs there who also need loving homes.
The BBQ was good fun, the pub served excellent food, and I'm going again next year. Thank you to KAte for a) organising it, and b) letting me into the horrendous queue of traffic when I was coming out of a petrol station near Chirk. What a coincidence that they were going past at that precise moment
p.s. If anyone has any photos which include Molly, please could you send me a copy by email to shirley.woodhouse@yahoo.co.uk so that I can forward them on to Molly's dad. Thank you so much if you can.

So pleased it all went well! Luna and I are unpacking and cleaning out our old house to hand back to rental agency so guess where we would've rather been!!!
We'll be keeping a look out for next time and don't intend for house moving to get in the way then!
Thanks Katie for organising, you were a star and a big thank you to Mike for helping us put up the tent, it only took us 2hrs with his help without it we would have still been trying
Great laughs and friendships made George has packed his bags and his heading North, whereabouts East Yorkshire according to his note
Sounds like you had a great time. Kate,if you go next year, will it be around the same time? Will try to make a date for that one. I've never been camping but would love to try! Lottie is still limping at the moment so perhaps it would have been too much for her but would really like to meet you all too.
Lottie is desparate to meet Luna, her cyber-sis too,Laura,so hope you also get to go!!
I can honestly say that I have never met such a perfect dog.. George is my hero!
I do think there was a special connection between us.. The knee sitting whilst eating my veggi, Thai green curry with poppadoms, with mango chutney was such a special moment... One, i shall never forget..
I just love that dog!!
If George ever needs a break or you all feel like a holiday in Yorkshire...
Oh, and thank you all for a fab weekend. The site was fab.....plugged my Ghd's in the drying room, so no problem for me.. The tumble dryer was a real bonus for our wet denims.. (Sheila, Shirley and me had to sit a bit bare of clothing for the bargain price of £2.00) Money very well spent i my eyes..Just one thing I should point out... never sit in waterproofs with nothing underneath... Bottom clinging is quite the understatement.... I think Shirley's may have shrunk a bit but they were nice and warm and I think, just under the knee, is in at the mo...
The beach walk was just fab and the company on that, just fabulous.. (Just wish George had shown that Collie what speed is)...
The seven, maybe even longer, drive home was just spiffing.... Sheila, you are a star, even though you forgot where your gears were...lol
Must organise one at Burton.. Simon has been told to start preparing the coleslaw..... and Lady has been told that she may have to go into the starvation paddock if the field is needed...
