I have just had my renewal from Direct line, and I am now paying through the nose of my insurance premium, apparently it's because Jack and Maia are now 9yrs old and therefore are likely to have more ongoing conditions!!!!!!

I am now stuck as Jack and Maia both have ongoing conditions that I have claimed for ie their ED and HD si even if I take Molly off it's going to cost me £86 a month!!

How much would the drugs cost you without insurance? Would it be worth putting the money in a pot each month for their meds and building up a bit of a fund for any future bills? If the insurance is less than the drugs then that seems pretty good!

I think I was upto £26 last yr with More Than for one....only claimed once for a grass seed!!! Rolling Eyes Im just so twitchy about switching but think I may need to look at it again

I gave up with the insurance. Grouse at 3 was going to cost £28 a month! Because she had had an allergy - although what really bugged me was when I called they said it had not gone up because of a claim but because vets fees in the south east had gone up by 10% in the last 2 years....why had my insurance gone up by not far off 50% then!? I have now created a dog kitty, it is hard to know what to do for the best, especially as switching with an existing condition is really pointless as they will sting you one way or another. Grrr

Pet insurers will price themselves out of the market at this rate, then, we`ll be back as it used to be, no one has insurance and vets charge everyone the same for treating their pets, not one price for non insured with inflation for the insured one!.

Just getting a quote from John Lewis for Maia and Molly, I have never claimed for either and with Maia her CDRM and HD are now non operable and cureable so if she gets any worse sadly we would have to let her go, Jack I am keeping on Direct Line as I have claimed for him.
