Luna ran faster through our first colder indoor winter series of competing, resulting in her winning rosettes in jumping classes and barely gaining clears in agility. Her second hotter summer series appears to be mirroring her first last year - she goes clear (when I don't mess up ) which gets her rosettes in agility classes but slower pace means we're outside of them in jumping. Interesting!!!!
Anyway, some would say I should have been unpacking boxes and settling into the new house BUT we're agility addicts! Yesterday, we got a clear in Intro Jumping finishing 22nd, I didn't run the dogwalk contact right in the Primary agility class and then didn't carry on running getting us 5f for missing contact and 5f for running around jump, finishing 14th. Eliminated from the other 2 runs for bad handling! - positioned myself so she back jumped in Primary Jump n Touch and forgot the course in the Intro Tunnel Torment!
SO today.....
THIRD place in Primary Agility 2 Lovely course by judge Fiona Elliott, I knew Luna would like it, nice and flowing and CLEAR! Thanks Fiona!
FIFTH place in Primary Agility - if I can get my head around actually using the directional commands she understands we'd be quicker!! CLEAR
Then she ran beautifully in Intro Jumping and Intro Steeplechase classes completing both CLEAR! She does run out of steam in the afternoon but finishing 18th and 17th will gain us a few points for the league!
Really pleased with my gorgeous girlie because not only has she done superbly at the comp this weekend but she has coped superbly with the disruption of a new house, new walks and meeting new people and new dogs this week.
LOVE my little Luna more than I can say!!!
Thanks EMDAC and BAA for another great weekend!
