We are getting married in august and can't bare to leave our dogs for a week or two we wnat them with us. We want to find somewhere in the UK where we can go to rent a cottage and take the dogs.

Ideally we'd like somewhere where the local pubs are dog friendly and there are nice places to walk and visit. Any suggestions would be great as we don't want to go somewhere where we can't take the dogs out for meals with us etc.

august the 13the. In st davids then a meal in a restaurant. We are only having a small wedding only 14 close family. We only want a simple day as we both don't like fuss. It's back home that night and then hopefully if we can find a nice place to take the dogs off for a holiday.

Little Dumpledale is VERY dog friendly. Though you would have to ask them about dog-friendly pubs etc., I'm sure there are some Smile

There are some lovely beaches nearby, but check what you can use for the time of year you are planning to go.

I've been to lovely places with Lottie in Yorkshire and Herefordshire. Both gorgeous.I will try to find the link for them (there are 3 places) Not sure whereabouts you want to go but I've had my eye on Northumberland and have found a great company who do really lovely accommodation around Warkworth. I've been told that the beaches there are wonderful and are dog-friendly even in Summer, when you want to go.

Will edit in a while if I can find my other post.
Congratulations. You sound like you're having just the type of wedding that we had but we had a massive number of guests....21

Nearly forgot we also have stayed here...really beautiful and the dogs can come in the bar (if you'd prefer a hotel) It's in Kirkby Lonsdale which is a lovely village just into the Lakes.

I use the Alistair Sawdays website for the UK.It has some really nice places and even when they are dog friendly, they are very luxurious for a change Smile

Let me know if you need any other information.

We have booked to go here in august

http://www.hoseasons.co.uk/lodges/redbrick-lodges-REDL

I know it's not a cottage, its a lodge with a private hot tub, child friendly and dog friendly did it for us! Not sure about pubs/ restaurants in the area as we've never been. Hope you have a lovely time wherever you go xxx

Hoseasons do loads of lodge and cottage holidays!

When I got married 25 years ago (now divorced! Rolling Eyes ) we had our honeymoon for three (Giddy was our dog at the time) on a narrowboat! It was two weeks of relaxation and dog friendly pubs to moor up outside!!Perfect for four-legged friends! Wink
