Hi Everyone, so Lucy's puppies were 4 weeks old last Friday. All doing well all thriving until day before yesterday. Henry the biggest, greediest, loudest puppy was very quiet. He brought up one of his feeds. Thought he maybe ate it too quickly. Then I noticed he was squatting quite a bit. Thought maybe constipation, gave him goats milk, water etc. Nothing changed. So off to vet yesterday, apparently he has cystitis, blood&protein in urine. Gave him an anti inflammatory and antibiotic jab. Well this morning he had perked up, ate dinner, same at lunch time. Now tonight, can't get him to eat a bite or even drink. Put him in with Lucy and he doesn't even want her milk. So got half a tablet into him in some milk earlier today. I took drastic measures and decided to try and get the tab down his throat, on back of his tongue. Have done this with crazy cats but never a 4 wk old pup. Got it down, but half came back up. Got the half back done again. Poor wee man is not looking good. Just letting him rest and will try him with a drink in a while. Vet first thing in the morning.
Honestly its like one of my human family is ill. Worried sick about him.
Vet thought he'd be fine. He had perked up a good bit and within a few hours is so lethargic.

Thanks Sam, managed to get another half a tablet into him. He has to get 2 a day, and so difficult with a little pup that doesn't want to eat and now drink. He has had the 2, so maybe they'll get to work overnight. Praying he feels a little better in the morning to eat.
Just get him to the vet in the morning; can't take any chances with a little pup like that. Hope he does better tomorrow; let us know how you get on! Hope you manage to get some sleep too!

I hope Henry is feeling better this morning, not long until the Vets open now so hopefully they can give him something to get him eating and drinking again. The one time when you could do with it not being so warm - when they won't drink...argh. Wishing him, and you, all the best. Are all the other pups fine?
