I always carry a bottle of water with me. I quite often have a drink on a walk, even if the dogs don't want one Smile

I used to just refill an empty plastic bottle but then heard of One Green Bottle and have been using one of their bottles for some time now: http://www.onegreenbottle.com/ I carry a camera bag so the bottle fits into that, but I've carried water for as long as I can remember anyway.

I have a collapsible silicon type bowl which squishes up neatly into my bag so that comes with me too. There's only one source of water on our walk and it can be quite stagnant and dried out during the drier months, so I'm not overly keen on the dogs drinking from it anyway.

I will also splash water over the dogs if I think they might be getting too hot (though I do walk to avoid the hottest parts of the day), so I use it for that too Smile

hi

I got a folding bowl to , but they wouldnt drink out of it . I have tried a bottle and pouring it in my hands, on the floor, straight from the bottle infact tried everything but they will not drink from any were other than the river , pond or puddle etc. I have to make sure if we go on a long walk during hot weather that there is going to be water near by otherwise they wont drink .

I didn't get it from Amazon, but this is the travel bowl I have now:

We've had the fabric bowls too but when I lost one in a field, I saw the silicone one in a shop and thought I'd give it a go and I like it Smile

I have one of those special doggy bottles and a bowl attached I carry. although Basil will drink out of a normal human bottle too, so we can share (me first!). Nell spills quite a bit so she's last Laughing

I tend to walk near water or in shady woodland in this weather too Smile

We have one of those bottles with a long slim bowl attached - it works a treat and it has a clip so you can clip in on jeans or a belt look - it doesn't look that good, but it is really effective Very Happy got ours from our local pet shop........
