These 2 stunning boys Ross and Roan ran off after a deer yesterday and haven't been seen since despite an extensive search does anyone live near to help look or put up posters?
Not in the local area but I will tell everyone I know anyway in case someone further that way sees them - hopefully it won't be necessary and they will be found asap. Good idea on the owners' part to leave the car in the car park with food and water so if they came back to it they can see 'their' car I know our Sam knows the car and goes to it so maybe their boys will too once they get their bearings, I'm sure the two of them will have stayed together so at least that's something - I feel for the owners they must be so worried.
Date Found 27 Mar 2011
Where Found The dogs were apparently both found in Castle Bytham at around 6pm yesterday Sunday 27th. The person finding them contacted South Kesteven Dog Warden who took them to a dog pound in Sleaford from wher
this was posted by the owner...beggars belief
she later posts that a complaint will also be made to environmental officer as the kennels were filthy with dirty food bowls left every where.
it'svery worrying when you do everything to identify your dog and they don't even bother to contact you!
"Firstly, a very big THANK YOU to Faye for searching for the boys at Clipsham, and to everyone else who supported in the effort to get them home.
I am however going to make a formal complaint to South Kesteven
Council regarding the way this matter has been handled. It appears someone found these dogs at Castle Bytham sometime in the afternoon, and contacted the SKDC dog warden via their emergency number (why oh why didn't they just phone us??) The dog warden then collected them and drove to Sleaford some 30 miles away where they were left at around 6.30pm. Despite the fact they had 1)collars with out name and home number embroidered on. 2)dog tags with home number, mobile number and e-mail address and 3)microchips, we received no calls and there were no messages on answer machines.
We had to pay £81 to recover the dogs. This had to be paid by credit card before SKDC would tell us which kennel they had been taken to. The fee comprised a "picking up fee" and four night stay (2 per dog) even though they were collected by 11am this morning, and by the admission of the kennel owner, had not been fed. They were desperate for water and also for food, and smelled dreadful."
Very glad that they have been found safely, but yes it is worrying, especially given all the forms of ID they had on them
This is why people who have lost their dogs are always advised to visit the local pound/stray kennels in person to look for their dog, rather than relying on a phone call. Though of course moving the dog out of the area doesn't help
I wonder how the owner found out where the dogs were?
