Well i just got back from the vet! Indi is wheat intolerant, and cant have chicken, beef or pork!!! I asked about a UK branded food for her and she recommended Hills science plan d/d food for her as you can get the flavours she can eat. I was wondering

a) what would be the best food to put her on, i need to order TODAY otherwise we will run out of food
b) what treats I can give her now, all her old treats are obsoleate as they contain food she cant have! So dont no what to use as treats other than her food. I want some nice rawhide type chews etc as well.

PLEASE HELP a desperate and upset mummy

x

I have a friend with a very 'allergicy' dog - her vet has put him on Burns -- may be worth asking your vet about this?

Assuming you are not in the UK right now but will be returning, I can recommend Acana, either the 'Grasslands' variety or the 'Pacifica'. It's available from Zooplus online who are based in Germany but deliver throughout Europe and the UK. Here's the link to the UK site ... Acana/Zooplus

Hi sorry about Indy Sad
Why don't you e-mail the dog food companies or give them a ring, i'm sure they will all give you loads of advice, Hills is good but a very expensive option Shocked Hope you get sorted soon poor girl after having an allergic dog in the past i know how you feel.

They suggested either Hills science plan z/d or d/d , royal canin hypoallergenic or James Well Beloved.

Naturediet does a fish variety. It contains rice but is gluten free. It's the sensitive one. I feed it to Minnie. They also do a lamb one, if Indi is ok to have that. It's a wet food. Not sure if they sell to Germany but worth looking into.

Could you buy a different sort of flour and make your own treats? I make tuna cake, which is just eggs, tuna and flour (and you can add garlic). You can buy rice flour can't you.

I also buy Barker & Barker treats - they have a fish one out now. Small treats but great for training as you can give lots and as mentioned the Fish 4 Dogs treats should be ok for her - and my dogs love them!
