Our first show yesterday started off badly, the beginners only got one run in jumping and agility so there was no room for error. We were first class to run in jumping and Coco got a bit giddy, ran round the front of the first jump and back-jumped it so we were eliminated before we'd even started In agility she refused the dog walk, went off sniffing, did a wrong jump and generally did her own thing - eliminated again
The next classes were fun classes - snooker where we came 5th out of 21 and then finally quantum leap. There were 6 jumps, 2 see-saws, 2 flat tunnels and 2 A-frames arranged in a clock face and we had 60 seconds to do centre, jump, centre, obstacle, centre, jump etc in any order until we'd either done the whole lot or run out of time, it was really hard work and difficult to remember which pieces you had done already. Amazingly Coco came first in this by quite a few points.
I was absolutely thrilled to come home with a 1st place rosette and a little trophy after I had been so disappointed with our 2 eliminations. If the photos go on line I will add a link but I think there were only a couple of us anyway.
