god i just remembered about my friends aunts dog when i was a kid who had to be pts as he swallowed so much of the string it was all balled up in his tummy and tangled and there was no way he would have survived through an op due to his age.....something along those lines Shocked jake has loads of tuggy toys in his toy box (yup he has a massive toy box and i think he`s destroyed all of 5 toys since i brought him home in september, i`m convinced he`s not a lab as he just doesn`t chew anything he`s not supposed to.....YET Laughing ) it`s quite a worry thinking about it but i guess so long as the toys are checked regularly then it`s as much a risk as anything else is. his royal highness won`t play with his anyway unless i`m playing and if i start to win he`ll nip my hand so i let go Rolling Eyes Laughing

dunno if anyone`s mentioned it yet but i totally forgot how good tea towels are for teething pups. i used to soak them, rinse them then place a few treats in and twist/tie them up and freeze them.

Frozen carrots and frozen Bananas, are good to for puppies.

Be careful with raw bones, avoid the marrow bones for puppies but lamb ribs are good, but as with anything always give them under supervision.

Me again Embarassed

Squeezy cheese from a tube squirts nicely into the Kong hole and they'll spend ages licking it out - also works when the roast hollow bone has lost its appeal Rolling Eyes No upset tums from that with several pups Very Happy

ps DON'T buy the expensive Kong paste!

Squeezy cheese!! Sounds great if a bit messy!

I was afraid of the runny poo thing but it would be nice for her to try some nice things. Not sure about actual bones at the moment. We had a couple of Jack Russells that loved them though and would keep them entertained for hours.

Thanks again Very Happy Very Happy

You can always soften some of her usual kibble and stuff that into the kong, I used to do it for Sam who has a very sensitive tum. Smile
