I did ask a while ago, but it seems to have been overlooked.
I find the computer generated "Happy Birthdays" extremely impersonal and I know I'm not alone. So many get churned out for listers no one has ever heard of, or have left years ago, that when it is a regular posters Birthday, these get overlooked, ignored, or they simply seem less special.
Can we please go back to wishing our friends a Happy Birthday personally and do away with the fake Happy Birthdays?

I agree and besides have people been given the option to opt out of that from a data protection point of view?
Most companies have moved away from birthday greetings, not everyone celebrates birthdays, certain religions don't and when people pass on it's insensitive.
Plus, it fills up the 'recent posts' bit
