Updating from previous thread about my piggy Dex.
He was back at the vets yesterday for a check up. The abcess had returned, in reality I don't think the draining helped it at all.
It was a different vet we saw and I didn't like her to be honest. I said I didn't want it draining again and she said "right, you've made your mind up"
and I quickly jumped in and said "not to have him put to sleep, to operate" she replied "oh".
So we were back today to see vet who would be doing op. Said I could ring at lunch to find out. My laptop only says 12.04 and I've already rung.
They warned me the wound is very large cause they had to go behind it and then had to remove skin to close it. They had only just finished when I rung. The lady I spoke to on the phone said she has been astounded at how he has made it through the op. But the next few hours are critical. He is currently in an oxygen tank and I have been warned that they sometimes don't recover fully from op.
I have to ring again at 3.30 to see how he is doing. I hope I can bring him home today.
Please can Dexter have some good thoughts.

Thank you very much.
I hate the waiting. I could take the dogs out but if my mobile rings before 3.30 I will know it's the vets and I think I would burst into tears in the middle of field.
Will keep busy on internet and mates just text me. So may take dogs out with her doodle.
