C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S
To Clare and her lovely lab Melvin, who is this months winner of the 'Lab Of The Month' competition.
Here's Clare's story:
**********************************************************
Hi,
I’d like to nominate my Melvin as ‘Lab of the month’. After losing Dexter last year, I honestly didn’t think I could cope... I then started with a serious back problem and my anxiety/depression (which Dexter had brought me out of) flared up again. Melvin had previously just been a very cheeky hooligan, totally adorable, but very much out for himself and to have a good time. However as soon as I needed him he never left my side. When my back was at its worst, he sat with me all day... refusing to even go out to the loo. He’d give me his paw as and just keep it on my hand for hours. If ever he went out of sight, and I made a noise of pain, he’d come running back ‘Nurse Melvin to the rescue’. Since then he’s been my right hand man, staying with me on walks (when he used to run off!), wanting cuddles, his obedience training has come on tremendously... last night at training we managed a 2 minute stay, with me out of sight. Amazing! The bond between us has really grown and I don’t think I’d have got through the last 6 months without him. So, I’d like to nominate him as ‘Lab of the month’ in recognition of how very special he is and the fine young man he’s become.
Thanks,
Clare (Dexterslab on LF)
Melvin - this months 'Lab of the month'
Congratulations Clare, Melvin is truly worthy of this award.
You're special award & prize will be on it's way to you shortly. We are hoping to reinstate medals also, so then we can award a medal next to your name.
Thanks to everyone else who sent in their entries these will automatically be carried through to next months competition, and so forth, unless i hear otherwise.
Cuddly hug to Melvin!
Julie & family
x
