All mine are on Chudleys Classic I have used it for 7-8 years and the last 2 litters have been reared on Chudleys puppy, they all love it and have never bored of it and have great coats. Its about £16 for 15 KGs

Emma - at six months I would just go with the adult Arden Grange, the lamb is the one that you can find cheapest. Chicken foods don't agree with mine and we did get bigger, looser poo's on that variety but with the lamb they are small and very firm - good for the old anal glands!!

Pet planet currently sell the lamb for £25 a bag, vetuk- £29 (which I still think is excellent for this food), berriewood wholesale also have good deals and its worth checking ebay as several pet retailers do good deals on there too. Some Waitrose's sell the small bags which would be ideal for a trial run!

I like Burns in theory but it doesn't keep weight on mine and Murphy's coat went very rough/dry. Amber is still on it for now but I have to supplement with a wet food to keep her weight up so its going to be much more cost effective when I switch her to the AG.

Hi! I've given my Labs a few varieties. Burns was good for quite a long time, but then one of my dogs developed a very dry, scurffy coat, so I then changed it to CSJ salmon and rice. Layla is still on it. Tried Wainwrights with Taboo, but it didn't agree with him, neither did Royal Canin or CSJ. He is now on Wafcol Salmon and potato and seems fine on it. I do give them a raw egg twice a week and (when I remember!) they get some raw mince mixed in too! Smile

Hi we had taylor on burns for a few months and he lost a substantial amount of weight.

DIPPYD...we had taylor on wagg ...terrible wind, awful poos but saying that i know some people with labs who do great on it.Alot depends on he dog.

We currently feed pedigree (dry) and he has a bit of butchers (tinned) mixed into his evening meal. He still hasnt put much weight back on.

We are looking at skinners and arden grange atm so good luck nad i will be following this thread aswell lol

My only advice would be to get samples from the company or only get a small bag to start. I tried Lottie on Burns and she had the worst wind ever,Arden Grange was great (she's still on it now with great results) but I read on here everyone raving about Skinners, ordered her a big bag, stupidly, and she was really poorly on it. I gave it away to another LF member. I should have called the company for samples to try.

It's just that, like us,every dog and their digestion,is different. What suits Lottie won't suit your dog.

Just my two penneth (or whatever the expression is Smile )

Barbara xx

Lottie's breeder brought the litter up on Wagg Puppy (plus her 3 adult dogs) and they were very healthy dogs but I think it was more a case of the cost of feeding 13 dogs at once.
