hello!

Well after all the rain we've had Tiber's lead has, not surprisingly, gotten a wee bit damp on a few occassions! It now is a bit smelly and I was wondering how people cleaned their leads. I usually put his Rogz collar in the wash with his towels and vet bed and that comes out clean but I am a bit concerned about putting his Nylon lead in the washing machine as it has a lot more metal.

I don't want to throw it out as it is still a good lead and just a bit smelly

Any tips are gratefully received Smile

Thanks

Annie

xx

p.s. Tiber doesn't see the point of this post as he thinks the smellier the better Smile

I just wash my leads in the sink, with just a little washing powder.

Regards, John

I put them to soak in very hot water and bio washing powder. I give them a good rubbing and then rinse them out a couple of hours later and they come up smelling lovely. Very Happy

I have one of those bags for socks etc and put leads in that when I put them in the washing machine. They come out looking and smelling like new.

I quite often wash the dogs' harnesses, the leads less frequently as they're usually off-lead in the muddy bits and don't tend to throw themselves onto the floor while on lead.

I just put the harnesses into the machine, usually with a few doggie towels on 40c I think, and wash as usual and then hang up to dry. All seems good Smile
