I think I got some Profleece from ebay which was really thick but my previous dog managed to chew through it in less than a minute. Coco has been fine with it for over 2 years though and it is still fine.
I got some thinner, cheaper fleece off the roll at the local pet shop for £12 per metre and this is still ok. I got a 1m x 1.5m piece and cut it into 4 so I rotate 2 on the bed and 2 in the wash. The fluff has gone into tufts but other than that it is fine, despite Coco nibbling at it, dragging it around and humping it with one end held in her teeth

Thanks all
I don't think this stuff is the real thing tbh, especially reading how long some of yours has lasted...
The one I've got the yellow fabric backing comes off so I kept wondering what the yellow powder was under it... also the top comes kind of matted, just doesn't look comfy anymore. Sam doesn't chew it but I generally wrap it in a blanket or old duvet cover anyway as he used to try when he was a little chap!
I wash it in the washing machine with fabric softener (our Vets do too - they use comfort, the Vet nurse told me!) and dry it in the tumbler or on a radiator.
Hmm off to source real Vet bed now.
