Millie spent the day at the vets yesterday as she was due to be spayed, but they decided not to go ahead because they thought she was in season. In actual fact, she is still having some discharge due to having recently had puppies. But, anyway, she spent the day away from the sanctuary and was very nervous.
Upon arriving back at the sanctuary, something spooked Millie and she lunged on the end of her training lead. Fionna grabbed at her collar but only caught the tag, which came away, and Millie bolted.
Fionna has been out looking for her all night and is out again this morning but so far there have been no signs of her
Millie is nearly 6 years old and is a very timid ex-breeding bitch who has been in our care for about 10 days. She is wearing a leather collar that has a hint of blue to it and is trailing a black Mikki training lead.
She is not yet microchipped and, obviously, has no tag.
Oh no! I'm so worried about little Millie. I really hope she is found safe and well soon. She must be so scared. Please let us know if you hear anything Sarah.

Fionna is out looking with a few of her dogs. There's livestock in nearly every surrounding field and none of them are looking particularly bothered or as if there is a strange dog in their field. Luckily, there's also no sign of her in the river. We've contacted the police and the dog wardens and vets and the other local rescues and are calling them regularly to check, but nothing yet.

eta - have now emailed to "other Sarah" Liz and Christine who are somewhere in the area, also to June who is the flyball trainer using Kidwelly asking her to send on to anyone else she has in the area.
