Just wondered if any of you had experienced this. Indi has a crate - in it is her danish designs deep duvet dog pillow. The last few nights she has taken herself to bed after dinner and stayed there until bed. She then stays there until we take her out for a wee and put her back into her crate for bedtime. I wondered if anyone else's dog does this! Im not concerned its just very weird how she has just taken to doing this for no particular reason. Any ideas?

added a few photos of her asleep!

What a sensible dog! Lovely bed. Does she sleep with the crate door open at night?

It looks like she has chosen her sleeping place, and is happy to sleep of an evening and during the night too. Very Happy Ours sleep in the living room of an evening, but Megan only joins us if her bed is brought through from the dining room where she sleeps at night - I guess the BED wins over OUR company Shocked

Gorgeous girl Wink

Awww bless her. She's gorgeous and looks very happy, comfy and contented with her bed.
Rufus always goes to his crate when I get his Kong out as he thinks I'm going out and stays in there with it even if I stay in!

Blue does it all the time if he's tired. He'll start off on the sofa but then saunter off to his crate. He's just gone in there now (even though he sleeps upstairs in my room).

I'm ever so glad he does it because I'm one of those people who had to be persuaded to get a crate originally because I thought they were the cruelest things in the world, but I'm so glad I did because he loves it and it gives me peace of mind when I go out Smile

Lol - we use to get her to sleep in the crate with the door shut because if we left it open she would chew the kitchen cupboards (she use to have the crate next to the kitchen door with it open and have run of the kitchen and her crate but then she chewed the kitchen cupboards in our rented accommodation!!!) We then shut her in her crate at night however she had a major squits the other night however it was all in her bed (and up the wall -tmi i know) and so we started giving her run of the kitchen again - should i shut her back in her crate at night again?) she seems very comfy - we struggle to get her out of bed in the morning! During the evening she would sleep next to me on the floor next to the sofa or on her soft bed in the living room or on her chair but like i said she has taken to her crate the last few nights. Her crate is in the living room during the day with the door open. We put a blanket over the crate at night or when we go out and shut her in it so its nice and dark. I try to make her crate as comfy as possible though for her. The problem we have is she doesnt cry when she wants to go out! So we have woken up to her having the squits in the bed and she would rather lie in it than wake us up!! We sleep with the doors open to hear her cry!
