Today I met a family I was supposed to homecheck, their resident dog, a Labrador was rescued by them last year, they knew she had Epilepsy, she was a puppy farm dog but they took her on warts and all.

When I spoke to them on Thursday I was told that Zoe had had a fit and she was poorly, little did I know that I wouldn't be meeting Zoe today Sad

When I turned up this evening, I was met by her 'mum' in tears, Zoe had had a major seizure late last night and was rushed to the emergency vets, they brought her home a few hours later, but after the Gran Mal she continued to have a series of small fits and they took her back this morning, they had had a call from the vets before I arrived to say that they should go back as they needed to say their goodbyes to Zoe as they couldn't bring her out of the seizures.

I spent half and hour with the family trying to offer some comfort whilst other family members arrived.

I can only imagine what they must be going through tonight.

My thoughts and love go out to Zoe's family tonight, the love that this family had for a rescue dog who had been in their lives for only a year was incredible, and I am sure that time will heal the hole she has left in their hearts.

Please spare a thought and send love up tonight for a very special Labrador called Zoe.

NATURE'S WONDERS

Have you ever wondered what makes the wind blow?
Could it be our loved ones blowing us a kiss?

Have you ever wondered what makes the stars shine?
Is it our loved ones keeping watch over us while we sleep?

Have you ever wondered what makes the skies cry?
Could it be our loved ones missing us?

Have you ever wondered what makes the sun shine?
Is it our loved ones giving us a warm hug?

Have you ever wondered what makes the ocean waves come pounding to shore?
Could it be our loved ones wanting to touch us once more?

There are so many of natures wonders and do we really know why?
Is there a higher power making sure we always remember the loved one we’ve lost and shall never forget.

That's desperately sad Crying or Very sad

They sound wonderful people and I'm so glad for Zoe that she had some time with such a loving family. She will have gone off to the Bridge feeling adored, with so many happy memories of her life with them.

Run free Zoe, my thoughts are with your family Group Huuug!

Run free Zoe - what a special dog to have brought so much love into a family. Her year with them was obviously filled with a lifetime's worth of loving experiences and care.

My thoughts are with her devastated family.
