Sue51 - lovely to see pics of your gang, they always make me smile. How do you get Moz to stand like that. I just tried to get Lexi to stand to add an image and she looks like i have just stolen her toys and refused to feed her Embarassed

hehe - mine look like that when you kick them off the sofa Laughing Laughing and Moz's face when he is 'asked' to go out in the rain is hilarious Laughing

Don't forget - until my dad took ill / passed away - we showed pretty much every weekend - and now starting back more reguarly - although Moz prefers doing his Zebidee impressions the minute he gets in the ring Rolling Eyes Laughing

I have also found that they look very different in "winter" and "summer" coats. I'm not sure but at 9 months Indi has Indi lost her puppy fluff yet??

yes she has she lost it back in oct/nov and molted like crazy!!!! We comb her once a week to keep her looking pretty!

I think Ive now got to a stage that she is the way she is and people can like it or lump it, she is my puppy and i love her the way she is and thats all that matters! Just got very upset people thought I would let her get fat and im a bad mummy but im not because she is well loved, gets everything she needs and wants and more and there is no better pup spoilt like her. Even everyone says how spoilt she is but i dont care she is my baby and i will always give her the best!

Very Happy - Ours are spoilt rotten - my OH frequently ends up sitting on the floor to make way for the hooligans (I have to confess to not being quite so gracious Embarassed ) - but I do end up getting sat on a fair bit as a result Laughing

I know what you mean about what people think though - I have terrible problems with my yellow girls weight - she eats less than all the others and has still put on weight - but she's a horror bag for 'finding' food - she's taken NatureDiet out of the cupboard - opened it, eaten it and tried (unscuccessfully) to hide the evidence - she's opened sealed tins in the car and eaten the contents - and I could fill a whole page on the things she has 'pinched' including dead fish off the beach, boxes of chocolates, out of date salads, chinese, indian, bags of sherbert lemons with wrappers - pistachios AND shells - the list is endless Rolling Eyes

Personally, I dont get too hung up on weight, especially when a pups still growing - providing of course that its not so obese as to strain its joints. My cocker was a porker until she hit 18 months and now shes like a whippet! Toby the lab is following suit, although he was underfed and very thin when I first got him at 6 months - all ribs and feet, but he put the pounds on and he's now on longer walks/runs and is developing muscle under the fat. I guarantee by 18 months he'll have his full physique - whatever that will be! Also, as all four dogs sleep out of the main house a bit of fat keeps out the chill - especially during the minus temperatures weve had. So my advice for what its worth is ignore the rude comments and enjoy your pup! Smile

Well for what it's worth I think she looks gorgeous. I don't think she looks fat at all. To me she is show lines which are always chunkier looking. Dylan is show lines Very Happy

No - she isn't fat - and I wouldn't say she is overweight either - she is just a well bred show labrador who is developing very nicely Wink

I was going to say the same as Sue....She looks fine to me and I do like 'em "lean", compared to some. Very Happy

thanks girls

Adam went into an office with a malamute and there was a sign about her not being fat. I said we need one for indi say

My name is Indi, Im a chocolate labrador. You may think Im fat but actually Im from show lines and therefore a little more stockier than a normal lab. Please dont call me fat as I am not and you give my mum a complex by doing so!!Im very friendly and bouncy but dont let that put you off, all I want to do is say hello and make you my new friend!

Ive gotten over my complex now. I dont think she is fat after looking at pictures of her and seeing her every day. I think i just let people get to me. Just enjoying having her around and her being her usual bouncy self. Ran round the living room chasing her today which she thought was a great game and Adam had the day off today so has played football outside with her with her boomer ball plus we walked her so she is now flat out at my feet bless her!
