Watch this space! Just received this email from our co-ordinator:
Just had a call - I have arranged for an 8month old Chocolate Labrador bitch to be handed over tomorrow (3rd)
I have requested that the person handing her over brings pedigree papers and vaccination certificates. She is making a donation.
Sounds like the dog has behavioural problems (the eason it is coming in) and has already had 2 homes. I will try to get some photos and write a description which I will send you tomorrow night.

now I know some dogs do have behavioural problems, but at 8 months?? Prejudging I know but surely it is a normal pup who (surprise surprise) is not calm, placid and acting like the Andrex role model..... will keep you posted.

Hah! That sounds like Poppy; my first foster. I did her assessment and they were desperate to get her out; she was a right little handful because she'd had absolutely ZERO training and ZERO boundaries set. We had her here for a couple of weeks and the turn around was incredible - she was re-homed and I still hear from her owners. She's doing absolutely great.

Two homes at 8 months... how sad; but at least she'll now be looked after properly and get a good home!

Well no picture yet (sorry) but more information on this young lady.

She is 7 months old, appears to be coming into her first season. Part of our adoption agreement is that our dogs are neutered, so in this case we are happy for her to go to a home on the understanding that this is done as soon as possible. If the home is local to us then we will arrange for it to be done at our vets, if the dog lives a considerable distance away then we can discuss options.

It appears that we are NOT talking about anything other than a lively puppy who has been given no guidance or training.
