Luna and I visit Melton Country Park at least once a week PURELY because she can socialise and meet and greet lots of people and dogs. It is the place I KNOW helped her appreciate that some people and dogs DON'T want puppy kisses and some do! She learnt this because I was able to let her off-lead in a place I knew people would expect dogs to be off-lead. She was free to learn doggy and people body language in a way she can't on our hikes across the countryside mostly alone!
We make friends there, we take friends there (LF GTs and others!) and it is very rare for us to have an unpleasant incident there!

The park is currently designated part on lead, part off lead which works well in my opinion excepting that the water is in the dog on-lead area. It would be good if a small part of the water could slip into the off-lead area!

I'm up for a GT there in the next couple of weeks!Up until christmas. On the 30th Dec I'm going into hospital to have my gall bladder out!   So I'll be out of action for a few weeks after that!!
