Sans, named because generally on a walk I was in fact without her. Although she always knew were I was and she was never really far away from me, but always just far enough away for me not to see her. She showed my boys how to hunt deer, and rabbits and squirels just like any self respecting terrier would. Always at the front of a deer run, the frist tospot the first to sniff them out, but never the first back.
I had to rehome her 3 years ago when I had to move out of my flat and had nowhere to go. She went to live with my then boss and her son who adoured her, even when she would sneak out of the door to raid the bins or try to eat the postman!
In recent months her heart had started to give her a bit of trouble and she was collapsing more and more. The final straw came when she wasnt interested in the food, and had started collapsing as she woke up. It wsa all getting a bit much for her. I am told she was happy going to the vets on Friday, pleased to see everyone, ready to go to the rainbow bridge I think, ready to be reunited with Clunie and Arty.
She tried everything, agility, competetive obedience, she gave it all a go but her favourite thing to do was chasing those pesky rabbits!
Here she is, my terrier cross Sans who was pts 05/11/10 at the grand old age of 16. Run free old bat, I still miss you loads xxxxx
