Hose brush is used on Luna most days to wash off the mud!

Furminator to use when the weather's hot or if there seems to be a lot more black hair appearing about the house.

I have a fine tooth comb to use when she's rolled in something sticky that hose brush can't remove.

Those 3 are the ones I use!

There are some more in the cupboard in storage - a 'puppy' brush and slicker, an adult brush and slicker, a doggy toothbrush, a finger toothbrush, a finger teeth cleaning sock!

Oh dear! I'm as bad as you BUT I don't use them (and there are probably more in the cupboard if I bothered to check!)!!! That's worse surely!

I have a pink latex/rubber zoom groom (which I've had for 15 years (since Sable was a puppy) and a furminator (recently acquired from ebay).

In my experience dogs like the zoom groom because it doesn't scratch or tug and it's much more comfortable to be brushed with.

....but tbh I 've found that brushing my black labs too much makes them scurfy/ dandruffy....it could make Sable (fantastic shiny coat most of the year) look like a silverback at moulting time.

I feel really bad now, I have one and rarely use it. Confused

Max's coat just needs a rub/hose down now and again and he has such a glossy coat on it's own that he doesn't seem to need it much.

I've got 3 brushes but really the furminator is the best one. Cheers LF people for the recommendation. Smile

You see I have the opposite problem, if I don't groom Cadbury regular with a slicker then he gets really dandruffy. He always seems to have a lot of coat coming out. In fact I noticed he had these ginger patches either side of his tail, not huge, but noticeable. They were dead hair that hadn't fallen out and the big slicker wasn't reaching them, hence getting the small slicker. Wink
