Wondered wat all the fuss was about the ferminator, so thought i would invest in one.

One word

WOW

This thing is amazing, made honeys coat nice and soft, and i couldnt believe how much hair came off her, i couldnt carried on brushing her all night, but thought i should stop lol.

It's not stupid, I only found out what it was when I googled it after hearing about it on here.

It's THE best brush i've ever come accross. I used to have to brush Frank pretty much every day (especially during his moulting times!) otherwise the hoover couldn't cope Very Happy

I was sceptical too, but got one for about a fiver from ebay so gave it a go. Needless to say he only gets brushed once a week and the hoover doesn't overheat.

I've recomended them to friends who have labs, huskies and malamutes, they've never looked back either Very Happy

They are brilliant, I don't bother with any other brush/comb and just use the Furminator a couple of times a week.

What I can't get my head around is how come Ebay sellers have them for £5-10 when even the cheap online pet retailers are still selling them for around £20-25.

I've got two, a £20 one bought last year and a £8 one bought off Ebay this year. Comparing the two I don't think they are completely identical, the cheap one is very slightly longer and the plastic cover doesn't fit like it does on the more expensive one, it was in Furminator packaging but my suspicious mind makes me wonder whether some of them may be fakes...

Has anybody else wondered the same thing or am I the only one suspicious of Ebay bargains?? Laughing

Mine was also a fiver off ebay and local shops is £20-£30 dpendant on side, they look exactly the same to me and like you Jack I think I could brush Berry all day and still get hair off but it is a great help!

Only thing is, she thinks its a game when i try to brush the bottom of her back near her tail base and starts spinning around in circles...now I brush that part whilst she's eating, nothing can tear her away from food!

I've been meaning to get one of these (even one of the nurses who looked after me in hospital reccommended it!) but the price puts me off as I don't have that much spare!
Thanks Kait for suggesting Ebay! I'm going to look now! Wink
