I am thinking of getting one of these for Honey. I suppose it's getting to that time of the year when they are wet and muddy and I get sick of having to wash her bedding all the time and then trying to dry it. I have enough with the normal washing lol!!!!

Has anyone got them and are they any good. I assume you just literally hose them down and then just let it dry off, but does it work, does it get rid of the hair and more importantly the doggy smell?

Any comments are appreciated.
Thanks Bex

I think there are lots of us with Zippy Beds on here. I have three.

I don't hose mine down I take all the covers off and bung them in the washing machine and then tumble dry them. They come out as good as new.

Definitely the best beds I have ever bought.

I have 3 here too, 2 hose down ones and a fleece lined one.

I also just take the covers off and wash them in the machine as I don't have a hose Wink

They are brilliant beds and the girls (and the children I mind!!!!) love them Very Happy

I'm another advocate. I've a hose down in the car and a fleecy one in the living room.

They are easy peasy to wash and extremely hardy!

Zippy bed here too, easy to keep clean...unless they vomit a load under the cushion!

Despite washing with industrial disinfectant there is still the distinct whiff of bile emanating from our Zippy (still love it though).

Hope you don't mind me joining this but I was thinking about starting a thread to ask too.

I was thinking of getting one of these for Jasper (our oldie). I would want to put a blanket in it to make it more snuggly and wondered if the sides would still be quite high? He's very happy lying on a flat bed and the huge duvet at the moment and he has a lovely thick coat but I thought a zippy bed might be nice for winter.

The zippy can have a fleecey sort of liner in it Angela - you can just about make it out in the corner of my sig pic of Zephyr. Its quite high at the side and lower at the front and VERY cosey. I doubt you would need the blanket in it to be honest! The padding on the bottom is twice the thickness of the sides. Its a very very nice bed!

Angela I actually bought my original one for my Oldie. Sadly he is spoilt and prefers the sofas or my bed Rolling Eyes .

The rest of the dogs love them. I do dislike the fact that the fleece collects so much hair. I prefer to put a big bath towel over the cushion which is regularly washed and doesn't collect so much hair.

Darcy who is heavily in whelp is spending her whole time in them at the moment because they are so soft and comfy, whereas the leather sofas are a bit uncomfortable for her in her present state!! Because they are so soft she can spread herself, bump and all, right out so she is as comfortable as possible.
