I'm looking after my sister's dog at the moment while she's on holiday and he keeps going in and out of every room looking for my Jessie...

I'm struggling without Jessie - some days are better than others and yesterday and today are bad days.

Sorry to whinge and moan but I just feel lost!!

Sad

Your post has brought a lump to my throat. I can see from your signature that you only lost Jessie recently, and it must have been devastating for you.

It is still early days in coming to terms with your loss, so the confusion of your sister's dog is adding to that, I guess, especially if they used to be doggie friends.

All that I can think of to say is that you have my sympathies. I do hope that maybe over the next few days you will be able to have fun and allow your sister's dog to put something of a smile on your face. I am sure it is easy for me to say though.

Yes, they were doggie friends so it's hard to watch!

I am enjoying him being here, lovely to be walking him but because I walked him with Jess, even that seems strange. Roll on Dec when our little black girl comes home - I'm sure it'll seem more like home then

Thank you for your support

x

You lost Jessie just a few weeks after we had to say goodbye to our beautiful Cassie. It's devastating, I know something of how you are feeling. I have some days where I am doing vaguely ok and other days where I completely fall apart and feel like things will never be ok again.

I hope your sister's dog will help you in some way. I don't know how I'd have got through the past weeks without my remaining dogs and my husband.

My thoughts are with you Group Huuug!

I'm so sad for you. It's a long old slog after our lovely dogs go.... but not too long now until your new baby is with you (but I bet it feels like ages.)

The first few weeks are so hard, i didn;t have another dog to help me all i had was a date when i knew my new puppy would be coming home. It was only then that everything seemed a bit better,

I still miss my girl a lot but Alfie sure as hell helped heal that achy heart.x

Sorry you are having a hard time. Losing pets is never easy, it does get better but they always leave a hole in your heart.

I know my brother still struggles to talk about his pet sheep Douglas who died unexpectedly over a year ago, it is very hard sometimes.
