Hi everyone, Leanne is back off her hols early hours Sunday and asked me to arrange a walk "anytime after 2pm" so who fancies meeting at Freshfield station carpark at 2:30pm. We can either do the long walk or the hour and a half loop depending on how we all feel on the day. We can work up an appetite and then stuff ourselves at the carvery afterwards
My youngest son starts in Leeds this weekend, and has been messing me about all week about when he's going to go, and whether he'll "allow" me to accompany him. Anyway, you will gather that I am at home today and currently on the computer, and am expecting to go tomorrow morning. So I'm rather hoping that he'll send me away quickly (has agreed that I can attend) and I can get back for the food, if not the walk.
Will ring someone when I'm on the way home again if the time is reasonable.
Riley is at a puppy party on Sunday afternoon otherwise I would have brought him along for mucho puppy cuddles and some much needed lab company for me (although hes almost 16 weeks and 11.2kg so i imagine he would have been passed around a fair bit!).
If theres a Dibbinsdale or other similar shortish walk next weekend let me know and we'll come along.
Hope you get away early enough to join us Shirley, for food at least.
Leanne, I have thinking about you a lot. I know Riley will never take the place of Benson but I am sure he is keeping you occupied mentally and physically. Hope you & Andy are ok.
I am away next weekend for Ian's birthday (Alton Towers on Friday, then a golf & spa hotel all weekend, our first dog free weekend this year, they are going in kennels), so I won't be doing any walks but Dibbinsdale is Jayne's local so I'm sure she' be up for it. If she hasn't seen your post I will tell her tomorrow.
We're muddling through and bearing up as best we can but he's left a huge hole in our lives, Riley is a god send and managing to keep us going as he still demands his food, walks and cuudles (quite rightly too!) Had to call Pet Plan today to cancel Benosn's policy and let them know he'd been PTS and then wrote the thank you cards to the vets to drop off tomorrow so had a major wobble on both occassions. The woman at Pet Plan was lovely though and let me blub without rushing me.
Then the gas man arrived shortly after (its his second visit) and his first question after Riley rished at him was "wheres the other one" - poor guy was confronted with a crying woman immediately after.
