I could do with some waterproof collars for my gang and wondered if anyone had tried the PetSafe Cinch-It Collar. It's a much cheaper option than the Dublin collar but is it case of you get what you pay for?

I Have looked at these too Lynda and thought exactly the same as you, they look snazzy but not particularly strong. I will be very interested in a review from someone who has used one.

I'd also considered the EzyDog Neoprene ones but not sure they'd be quite as 'user friendly' when it comes to getting rid of mud.

I have the ezy dog ones on my 2 and i think they are great. They go in the sea, in the mud, in rivers pretty much any where and every where and the collars still look good. They seem to be very strong, good secure clips and easy to keep clean.

Can you just swill them under the tap or do they take a bit more cleaning?

I either give them a quick rinse, or brush off when dry buy I rarely notice them needing much of a clean and one if my 2 is a complete mud magnet.

Oooh I'm glad as I've just bought the Ezy collar today and was really hoping it would be mud proof! Very Happy

I'll be intersted to see how you go in with it. Seems they're made of the same stuff as wet suits. Only problem I'm having at the moment is finding 6 different colours Sad

Hmm, hadn't thought of needing 6 different colours, I obviously need 5 more dogs... Laughing

Ezy collars stand up to getting very wet, going round the washing machine etc but not to a monster getting hold of one when his owner is talking to a visitor and chewing the end off... my fault really. Evil or Very Mad

I've seen the other petsafe ones and wondered if they'd be any good too but don't know anyone who's got one. Dublin were supposed to be bringing out their new clip ones this summer but they haven't materialised in any shops yet, might send them an email and see if they'll be out soon.

BTW I love the pic of all six attached to the car!
