With any policy that renews I always phone them up when I get the renewal notice and try and get a better price (generally go onto the website and get a new customer quote). My house insurance is with direct line and I saved myself £95 on the annual policy just by checking the new customer price and giving them a call - I spoke to their loyalty team and they gave me an even better price that the online new customer price. My car insurance is also with them so they have 3 policies on me (all linked so I suppose I am loyal).
Always worth a wee phone call - just be nice and ask if they can get it a bit cheaper.
