Hi I am new to LF and was especially pleased to see this forum.

I have just sent of my applicationto GD and feel very excited and nervous at the prospect of being involved with the whole process (will they like me? is my house clean enough? etc.) could you tell me what really happens next. According to information received someone should contact me to arrange a home visit. Is that after they have spoke to my referees? What will they ask my referees?

What happens at the home visit? What would disqualify you from being suitable?

Some help and tips would be appreciated. I know its not easy to do and involves a lot of time, effort and extreme hardwork, but HOW REWARDING.... can't think of a better job!!!
