Sorry, I hate to sound negative, and yes I appreciate this is a family run business *but* would you also be a tad surprised?:

I ordered a full Walkezee kit last Monday morning. The company assured me it would be sent out at the end of last week.

When it hadn't arrived by this Monday, I tried phoning - nobody there. When it hadn't arrived yesterday, I tried calling again - and again and again. Literally nobody there all day. (am in real need of the product hence repeated attempts to call)

I left a message and also tried sending an email. No response at all to any of my messages. By now I was a bit tense as having rather bad problems walking Dexter who is pulling like his life depends on it and causing pain in my leg and arm.

This morning the product still had not arrived so I phoned again and finally got the lady at Walkezee on the phone. She cheerfully informed me that yes - she HAD got my message yesterday but as it was 'school holidays and we're hectic' had not responded.

*******Then she told me that the harness hadn't been sent out even - they were having 'problems' with BOTH the webbing and the fleece, whatever that means.

(am now just praying the product is OK and will work!)

Am I over-reacting - or would you also be a less than happy customer....?

I myself run a small business so I am very familiar with the problems involved BUT I would have AT LEAST apologised and I would never have ignored a customer's messages! And if I knew an order would be late I would ***contact*** the customer and apologise for that too.

Oh Tabbitha! As you know, all businesses face problems from time to time. However, it is not the problem as such but the way the business deals with it on one side and the disappointed customer on the other side shows whether this customer goes back them. Sounds like they do not care about your decision... Confused

As Elena said all businesses have problems from time to time but it's all about communication. They should have got in contact with you straight away if they are having problems with the product/or there is going to be a delay - it's common sense, it potentially keeps you on side as opposed to what they have now achieved which is a hacked off customer who has told other potential customers - not the best way to survive in business!

Yes, you are right.

If they had just let me know there was a problem, I would have gone out and found an alternative to use in the interim WHILE still eagerly awaiting my Walkezee Wink

Unfortunately I had to chase and chase just to get hold of someone and have now had to cancel the order - GENTLE LEADER here we come as it's all I can get hold of at short notice today Smile

it didnt happen to be a large black harness you ordered did it, i had exactly the same problem, managed to get hold of them on monday, it was the 3rd time i rang in a space of 3 weeks as i needed it for this saturday. In the end i got them to send me a different colour - kahki and i recieved it the next day along with a free lead (for all the hassle). I think it would have been helpful if i had just been informed of what was going on as it was happening. i must say the harness does work so cant fault them on the actual product.

LYNDSEY - yes! It was a black large harness!!!!!!

But if they had even suggested it was a colour issue I would have done the same as you and accepted another colour with no problem!!! Smile

Really glad you got yours and that it's helping!

I was told the problem was with the 'fleece' and the 'webbing'. No idea what that means but wasn't happy with all the problems that the company is apparently having in producing one harness to which I would be entrusting my dog...but delighted you are finding yours helpful Smile

Well they can`t complain if they go under can they!, thats appalling customer service, especially to admit they`d received your messages but not bothered to respond.

Now they`ve lost your custom and possibly more because members here won`t bother in case they get the same treatment.

Doesn`t anyone else do the Walkezee or they the only supplier?

I wasnt actually asked i requested a change in colour. I just said i really need the harness, as requested when i ordered it i needed it for 14th august - we go on holiday and i didnt want to spend the whole time being pulled or telling alfie off. So i said what other colours do you have in stock and she said the kahki would look nice on him so i went with that. Erm i wasnt told they were having a problem, i was just told that everyone was ordering large black harnesses and they were waiting for some more from the warehouse. Then when i phoned on monday it still hadnt come so thats why i asked them to change the colour. Really sorry that you have had to change product and go elsewhere. I understand why though.

Well I think Walkezee's are FAB Razz
Well worth the wait, you won't find another product like it and they are the only suppliers! Maybe they are just very busy as it's the school hols, always given me the best service over the years and the product quality is faultless!
Good luck with the gentle leader but your wish you had waited for the Walkezee. Razz

I looked at the walkezee for Rosie but I was put off by the picture of the dog on their website, which is shown on the home page with the horizontal strap across the chest very low indeed. Also despite that it says they do not rub there doesn't appear to be any padding on the harness itself, so I chose not to order one.
