I'm going around in circles again, getting quotes for pet insurance.

Does anyone have experience of Argos? They appear to do a lifetime policy and the quote I got them is fairly reasonable.

Thanks in advance for any feedback or opinions Very Happy

I have Argos insurance but have not had to claim on it so can't really comment, however, I know a vetirinary nurse who says they have had no trouble when claiming from them when she is in work? Doesn't really help much though!! Confused

I have just changed from Argos as I was paying £12 something for my 2yr old lab but then it went up to 16 and I have not made a claim.
So I went searching and ended with Sainsburys but even that was rather funny as it had an opion of a labrador or a (reteriever) labrador the difference being in my area £1.10 a month ??? so Bracken was classed as a Labrador not a (reteriever)labrador and I saved £13.20 a year lol not much some may say but every little helps Razz

I have Argos platinum cover for Charlie. I have made one claim with them and they paid direct to the vets no trouble at all.

Hi Triona,

Can't comment on them individually as not allowed to due to FSA regulations, but can say if it's their Platinum policy then it got a 5 star Defaqto rating (Defaqto is a independent rating system for financial products).

You can see some comparable policies, perhaps to contact for quotes, on our lifelong insurance page if it's any help: http://comparepetcare.co.uk/lifelong-pet-insurance/ Smile

Thanks,
Greg

I joined Argos a few months ago and ended up claming for Dyson when he was poorly. They paid me direct within 2 weeks

Am I correct in reading that they offer a maximum payout of £7000 a year rather than x amount per condition?

*is sick of looking at dog insurance* Sad

I hope I've understood it correctly, but the Platinum cover appears to cover up to £7,000 per year, per condition.

and I know what you mean, I'm tired of looking at pet insurance too - I seem to go through the same palava every year Rolling Eyes
