We are going for a week to Wales on 02 Oct. We are going to stay in the lovely cottage http://www.cottagesinparadise.co.uk/lower_dolgenau.html
As we never have been in Wales and no familiar with the area any recommendations for nice Doggy walks would be very helpful.
I live very close to Dolgellau The beaches in Barmouth and Harlech are open to dogs that time of the year, they are idea for your labs to loon around on.

Bala Lake, great for the dogs to swim. You can always hire a rowing boat and go for a row. (There's a big car park at the far end.) Have a look at the slate quarries at Blaenau Ffestiniog, also the FFestiniog narrow gauge railway. Plenty of walking on Snowdon, I prefer to park in the car park at the foot of Snowdon at Rhyd Ddu. (But remember, there are always sheep on Snowdon.) There is also a gold mine not far from where you are staying! (Not in use now but I found some "Fools Gold" (Iron Pyrites) on the ground outside.)
I know the area so well, my sister used to live at Waunfawr, and we spent so many holidays up there. Spent so many happy hours walking on the beach at Dinas Dinlle. Sadly I think the beach is now on lead only.
