Hi

I have recently posted to say that Sasha's PAH clip collar failed Shocked which scared me to death !! Lots of you said that you had ROGZ collars and could recommend them. Very Happy

I noticed that the ROGZ collars have clip fasteners though. Are they safe ?

Where do you buy your collars and what size would you think I would need for her. She is 13.5 weeks old. Very Happy

Thanks.

Gail

We've Rogz since Hudson came home. The original puppy one has done the rounds twice and ended its life with a rescue jack russel! I bought a large one for Hudson and its still going strong! I'd say its about the best he has. We don't use collars much these days, more for show or identifying if we are in a crowd!!! But the Rogz are super safe! We got ours at PAH.

Hi, Rogz are definitely the most robust "clip"collars I have ever bought. As Feebarn says, PAH sell them, the best thing to do would be to take your girl down there and try them on for size or you could measure her neck and order one online, doggie solutions have a good selection!

I always buy Rogz mostly from PaH and they have never let me down even with the sea/canal life Pig leads. The clip has a lock for added safety and the ring to clip your lead to goes through two sections of material and it's really thick and solid metal.
I saw they were recalling the PaH ones - I had 3 snap on me but at the time I thought it was the salt water and Pig pulling combined.
Pig's currently sporting a pink large one though she has a dirty black one for agility. I also like the matching leads, sad though it is, but they're really strong to - a puppy at agility half chewed through the lead last year but it's still fine to use and hasn't frayed anymore which is pretty good considering the strength Pig uses to drag me to training.

The Rogz collars are the only ones I truly trust with Cadbury. The lock makes them extra secure, but even if that is not on they are really strong. My mum once put Cadders' collar on the wrong way (so the clip didn't go through the metal loop) and it still held him securely for an entire walk.

Mine came from Pets at Home too.

would not have hesitated previously to recommend Rogz, yet the most recent purchase was so much slimmer material wise that i will be writing to them to ask what they are playing at!

my little girly pulls the big lad out of the canal by his, and they have withstood up until now - latest one i got (two weeks) is already looking tatty from loose threads. not happy.

snap lock is one of the best, but if the material can't cope then i will have to find an alternative. Ellie still undoes Busters collar from locked, just not as often Confused

For your pup you probably need the medium size one. They have a huge range in size because you can adjust them almost enough to go round their neck twice. Coco has had the medium since she was about six months old and she is a slim lab but still has a few inches of adjustment to go. A chunkier lab will need a large size Rogz collar.

As I mentioned in the other thread, even if the clip fails (which I have never heard of with a Rogz) it will only slip a couple of inches and not come off completely because the ring for the lead will hold it whilst it is under tension.
