In my best Jeremy Kyle voice......
Do YOU have pictures of your beloved doggies in their crates?
Do YOU want to share them and give a short explanation to each picture?
ARE they prisons or are they dens?
Can YOU help those that are undecided?
HERE are some of our viewers (members) experiences.....
Please add photos of your doggies in their crates. Good and bad.

Well the only problem Lulu ever had with her crate was when i put her in it to sleep of a night time in the frontroom and she wanted to be near me but once i moved it of a night time into my room (just for the first 6 months then she happily went in it in the front room again) other than that Lulu ADORED hers! when i decrated her she truely sulked for a couple of weeks!!!!
Lulu as a baby clearly loving her crate...
Lulu has to have her big crate back out at dads as she likes to "rough up and scratch his leather sofa! but she was over the moon to see it again!.....
After her spay on crate rest - not quite so happy, more because of the buster collar than anything else though
We used a crate from day one, there were no surprise puddles/piles in the kitchen and house training was pretty good by 10 weeks, damage to kitchen units was minimal too. The crate went away when Coco was 6 or 8 months old and only came out again when she was spayed. She had pyometra so there was a risk that she would take longer to recover than a healthy dog and the vet insisted on crate rest for the first week. (That buster collar didn't half make a racket when she decided to turn around during the night though!)
Max LOVED his crate, it was a comfort to him , when we were getting too much for him He used a large 42 inch crate until he was about 9-10 months old , it was a godsend when we went to a holiday cottage as well when he was 5 months old , it made him feel secure,
Picture of him on his first holiday in crate
I didn't ever think I'd use one and initially thought of them as somewhat "cruel". However, since having dogs who've loved them and will go to lay in them, even if I never shut the door, I've come to realise, if they are used sensibly and with the dog's best interests at heart (ie not left shut in one for hour upon hour, day after day), they are a real boon to both dog and owner .
Tara....12 years old and never crate trained, decided if it was good enough for the pup, then it was good enough for her, even though she had the sofas and even my bed to choose from....Bless her.
Mojo..... Quite happy in her crate. Even though she was decrated at 5 months old, is still more than happy to go in one 5 1/2 years later.
Cindy and CJ both love their crates, CJ will use his throughout the day, neither has ever been decrated, CJ because even at 6 he`ll still chew given the chance and Cindy because its what she`s used to, she`s now 13.
My babies are 5 and 4 now so don't use a crate, but I always use one for my foster dogs and pups. Maisie was a rescue girl so I don't know if she was crated as a pup but if there's an empty crate she often sneaks in for some quiet time, even if it is too small for her!!
As others have said, as long as they are used properly, not as a punishment, and not for hours on end, they're brilliant and most dogs love them.
