I've both read the book and watched the film, my big mistake being finishing the book on my birthday (anyone who has watched of read the film will understand )
I read the book in-between buying Poppy and picking her up at 8 weeks and I think it was good because it didn't put me off having Poppy but prepared me for the worse possible situation! After reading the book I thought Poppy was very easy!
I think its a beautiful story and even though Marley is naughty I think it does the character of a lab justice
Love Beckie and Poppy x

Finally got round to watching this while the wife was at work today...I don't remember crying at a film for years, but I was reduced to a wreck by the end...I think I need to man up!
